Important points for effective Communication in English

One should develop habit of speaking formally more and more. This formal practice makes one tuned with the required approach while delivering a presentation. If one has to deliver a message in second language i.e. English, there is a requirement of tongue twisting, quick sentence formation, appropriate expressions and body language.
Take basic topics for impressive delivery of the content. Known topics make it easier to monitor one’s rate of speech and tempo of voice. There is no requirement to recall the information as it is already there in your mind whereas the information that we first gain from internet or from any book needs to brought in mind first then we deliver. With known and basic topics this step gets reduced.
Speak a bit louder as compared to your native language. One should always remember that loud voice shows our confidence whereas slow voice shows our nervousness. Loud voice makes the audience also tuned with the speaker. It shows one’s readiness for the content as well.
Have proper mouth opening for the clear pronunciation of each word. Each word has its own requirement of mouth opening for clear pronunciation. A word has clusters which requires attention on each syllable. For example

Follow punctuation. Once your sentence is over, have a pause. Start the next sentence afresh. To avoid haphazardness in speaking one should have reading exercise with necessary pauses. The way these punctuation marks are important in writing, same way they have a great significance in spoken as well. These necessary pauses make a person tuned with audience as well because the audience has curiosity to know the next.

Avoid unnecessary pauses the basic concept of brining fluency in one’s way of speaking is to avoid unnecessary pauses. It looks odd if different pauses are taken within a sentence only whereas the whole sentence can be spoken in one go. If a sentence is long, a pause of some seconds in between is considerable but if sentences are small enough to be spoken in one trail only so one should be convinced to speak them in single utterance. This maintains fluency and the liveliness of a speaker in front of others.
Never tell such weakness which is the basic requirement of selection board. Excellent Communication Skills, one of the basic requirements of selection criteria require one to be confident in its presentation. One should be convinced oneself and should be ready to convince others about one’s communication in the interviews. Language proficiency is the continual assignment which will keep going on.
